Arlette Kayafas has been collecting photography for 46 years. In 2003, she opened Gallery Kayafas in Boston’s South End. The gallery specializes in photography from its inception to the most contemporary of the day. The work shown at the gallery is powerful, emotional and often with an edge. The goal is to create a dialog with the audience and heighten an awareness while providing beautiful objects to live with.
Kayafas is an overseer at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, MA; and at the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham, MA.
