Born in New York City, Ben Sloat received a BA from UC Berkeley, and an MFA from Tufts University/SMFA. Recent solo exhibitions include those in Boston, Montreal, Copenhagen, Berlin, Galway, Taipei, and Oakland. His work has been reviewed in the NY Times, Boston Globe, Circa Ireland, Taipei Times, and Oakland Tribune. Sloat has written essays for Aperture Magazine and Exposure Magazine. His work is represented by Steven Zevitas Gallery in Boston and Galerie Laroche/Joncas in Montreal. He teaches at the MFA in Photography and MFA in Visual Arts Program at LUCAD in Boston.
