Joey Herring


Joey Herring is the Assistant Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA). He received his M.A. from the Courtauld Institute of Art and his B.A. in Visual Arts from the University of California San Diego. Mr. Herring has more than 10 years professional experience, curating and collaborating on numerous exhibitions including: Defying Darkness: Photography at Night (2016), America’s Cathedrals: Photography and the National Parks (2016), The Time Between: The Sequences of Minor White, Hendrik Kerstens: Model and Muse, and Impress: Print Making Expanded in Contemporary Art. Mr. Herring has previously held positions at Tate Modern, The Courtauld Gallery, The San Diego Museum of Art and the University of California, San Diego.
