Artist’s Statement:
This series is all about the roads and streets we walk, bike, drive and travel on. The study of Road Paint is a exploration of my observations of the roads we travel on and the happen chance of different lines painted by various road, electrical, water and cable companies putting down abstract symbols on the roads. I love the inadvertent layers and colors placed on the road surface by the different utilities creating a new and almost accidental language, barely noticed by the tens of thousands of pedestrians and drivers who use the roads on a daily basis.
