Artist’s Statement:
Great bull riders are not simply born; they are also made. In many small town rodeos across the American west, young rough stock rodeo hopefuls emulate their older counterparts by attempting to ride sheep and yearling steers. This short photo essay brings to life the world of the Jr. Rough Stock Rodeo participant and the culture of rodeo through its youth.
