Artist’s Statement:
New Mexico Valor is a portrait project that honors New Mexico veterans who have served in the United States Military. The project features WWII to current day veterans. The project has people who saw the Iwo Jima flag raising, parchuted into Normandy on DDay, fought in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan countless combat tours, and family who lost their loved ones to combat.
