Elan Buchen


Elan Buchen is the Project Coordinator for Art & Design. He is the project manager for the public art initiative “Art on the Atlanta BeltLine” as well as other public art projects that encompass the 22-mile network of parks and trails. Elan completed his Master of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art & Design, Atlanta campus, in Sculpture. There, he helped design curriculum for the Scientific Illustration department and administered workshops to students and educators on constructive anatomy, lifecasting, and creature creation. His work is on permanent exhibit at the Oatland Island Nature Center in Savannah and the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. Elan earned his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from SCAD in 2006, graduating Summa Cum Laude and received the departmental Outstanding Achievement Award. During his career, Elan has acted as designer and sculptor for numerous fine arts and commercial clients from special effects to collected bronzes.
