Maria Kelly


Maria Kelly is the Curatorial Assistant of Photography and Exhibitions at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Maria joined the High in 2011 after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Since her appointment, Maria has helped organize more than seventeen photography installations. Most recently she curated What Is Near: Reflections on Home (2016) and Helen Levitt: In the Street (2015). She is currently assisting with the upcoming exhibitions Walker Evans: Depth of Field and Thomas Struth: Nature and Politics (both 2016). Maria co-authored the chronology in the publication Wynn Bullock: Revelations, which accompanied the 2014 exhibition by the same name at the High. She has served as a juror for photography competitions and was a portfolio reviewer for the Atlanta Celebrates Photography Portfolio Review in 2015. Maria is on the advisory council for Atlanta Celebrates Photography as well.
