Stephen C. Pinson is Assistant Director for Art, Prints, and Photographs, and The Robert B. Menschel Curator of Photography at the New York Public Library. Since 2005, Pinson has organized more than a dozen exhibitions at NYPL including Eminent Domain: Contemporary Photography and the City, winner of an AICA USA award for best show in a non-profit space in 2008.
His book Speculating Daguerre: Art and Enterprise in the Work of L.J.M. Daguerre, was published by the University of Chicago Press in 2012.
